If you’re searching for the best photography locations in Clarksville or Nashville, TN...

....you’re probably trying to figure out where to take family photos, maternity photos, engagement pictures, branding content, or just finally get updated photos.

Good news: Middle Tennessee is stacked with gorgeous options.

Whether you love dreamy open fields, moody woods, editorial city vibes, or romantic greenhouse energy, here are some of my favorite locations as a photographer serving Clarksville, Nashville, and beyond.

Rotary Park

Best for: Family sessions, maternity, storytelling sessions

Rotary Park is one of my absolute go-to locations in Clarksville.

It gives you:

  • wooded trails
  • creek access
  • dreamy filtered light
  • earthy, organic backdrops
  • plenty of space for kids to actually be kids

If you love emotional, movement-filled photos that feel natural and warm, this is such a solid choice.

Downtown Clarksville

Best for: Couples, seniors, branding, editorial sessions, graduation

For a cleaner, more urban aesthetic, downtown Clarksville is underrated.

Think:

  • historic brick
  • charming storefronts
  • parking garage
  • alleyways & murals
  • texture
  • architecture
  • cozy city energy

Perfect if your vibe is a little more editorial and less barefoot-in-a-field. Austin Peay is close by and is a great location for graduation photo sessions, as well as a wonderful location for headshots. Downtown offers lots of cute shops and coffee shops to do fun branding and headshots at!

Liberty Park

Best for: Families, maternity, "waterfront" sessions

Liberty Park is gorgeous if you want:

  • water views
  • docks (in some instances!)
  • soft open light
  • grassy areas
  • golden hour magic

Also ideal if you’d rather not hike with children, diaper bags, and snacks! Very easy parking and easy to navigate. This one is easy to get to, great for shorter sessions, and is within easy driving distance of the riverfront to use as well if there is still time left in your sessions!

Valor Hall

Best for: Families, milestones, maternity, engagement sessions

Valor Hall is great if you want:

  • open fields
  • wildflowers
  • scenic fence
  • tree canopy with dappled light

Valor Hall is one of my favorites here in town to shoot at. In the summer, it is filled with wildflowers in the butterfly garden that last all the way until mid October. The stunning canopy of trees on the walking trails give it a beautiful golden glow in the late fall. There are so many different backdrops to use here and there is a reason it is a Clarksville favorite!

Clarksville Greenway

Best for: Lifestyle family sessions, movement, natural sessions

If you love:

  • tree tunnels
  • greenery
  • soft neutral backgrounds
  • candid movement

…the Greenway is beautiful. There are quite a few open fields and in the summer I have seen many wildflowers crop up! This is a of walk depending on what you're looking to achieve as there is a scenic bridge about .5 miles in, and any open fields are a bit further in as well. It's a very scenic location and an easy walk that kids can make!

Gregory Farm

Best for: Families, engagement, maternity

If you love:

  • tall grass and wildflower fields
  • tobacco barn and farmhouse vibes
  • wildflowers in late summer to early fall

One of my absolute favorite places to shoot here in Clarksville. The owners are so wonderful and a dream to work with. This location must book in advance and has an additional hourly charge. There are so many different backdrops to use here that will offer a variety of shots for your family session!

Fletcher's Fork

Best for: Families, milestone, maternity, couples

Located near Gate 10 near Fort Campbell, this location offers:

  • creek
  • open field
  • "waterfall"
  • tree cover

This location has lots of trees and is located deep in a valley so the sunsets much quicker here! This is ideal for families with smaller kids who can't hang until the summer 9pm sunset, because our session would need to be a bit earlier to accommodate for the sun! There is the creek with the tiny "waterfall", lots of open fields, and some beautiful older trees. This is a great spot for a shorter session or families with smaller kids!

Open Field

Best for: Family sessions, couples, milestone

These are the fields I find randomly. This means we will be going on an adventure to find the best light, the best wildflowers, and it may be a random parking lot!

I recommend these sessions for families with older kids or those are adventurous and don't mind finding the random spots with the best light! I scout before hand and will send photos of whatever new find I have. :)

Dunbar Cave

Best for: Families, couples, maternity, adventurous storytelling sessions

If you want:

  • wooded trails
  • rocky natural textures
  • moody earthy backdrops
  • soft filtered light
  • small lake
  • a more adventurous organic feel

The walk up to the main cave is not bad at all and is easily doable with small kids! It is not stroller friendly however. This location offers many different backdrops and is great for extended family, or storytelling sessions.

Steenbergen Sunflower Farm

Best for: Families, motherhood, maternity, branding, editorial sessions

If you love:

  • sunflower fields
  • dreamy greenhouse light
  • romantic countryside charm
  • golden-hour magic
  • playful but elevated backdrops

Located in Russellville, KY, this location is stunning! The Greenhouse is an amazing place to shoot with beautiful dappled light at sunset. In the winter, there is also a small tree farm to use. In the summer, there are sunflowers to use! This is about 1hr away from Clarksville, on country roads, and does require an additional charge to shoot at.

Erin's Tree Farm

Best for: Families, couples, holiday sessions, motherhood

Perfect if you want:

  • evergreen trees
  • cozy nostalgic vibes
  • dreamy golden light
  • timeless natural backdrops
  • magical fall and Christmas energy

This scenic farm is about 40 minutes outside of Clarksville and does require an additional charge to shoot at. I love using here for Christmas sessions!

H & S Farms

Best for: Families, maternity, couples, motherhood sessions

This spot offers:

  • seasonal florals
  • open fields
  • warm countryside charm
  • movement-friendly space
  • soft romantic golden light

This place is great for tulips in the springtime as well as storytelling sessions "on the farm". This farm charges an additional charge to shoot at; and hours are quite limited. Great for those who do not care about "golden" hour and just want documentary style photos! There are also two highland cows here. :)

Client's Home!

Best for: Newborns, motherhood, families, documentary lifestyle sessions

Ideal for:

  • cozy in-home storytelling
  • authentic candid moments
  • newborn snuggles
  • baking / slow morning vibes
  • meaningful everyday memories

These are some of my favorite to do! Inside, outside, whatever! I hang out with you and your family; whether it is playing outside, around the fire pit, or just snuggling your new little one. These are great for extended family sessions and storytelling heirloom collection sessions.

Other Nashville Photography Locations Worth Considering

Nashville has no shortage of beautiful session locations depending on the aesthetic you’re drawn to. If you love moodier, editorial city energy, Printer’s Alley is such a fun option with historic textures, neon glow, alleyway charm, and a cinematic downtown feel that works beautifully for couples, branding, and engagement sessions. The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge is another incredible downtown option if you’re wanting iconic Nashville skyline views, architectural lines, open sky, and a more modern urban feel. It’s especially stunning at sunrise or golden hour and works beautifully for engagements, couples, branding, and more editorial-inspired sessions. Germantown offers a softer but equally elevated city aesthetic with charming architecture, clean sidewalks, brick facades, hidden corners, and timeless neighborhood character that photographs beautifully for families, couples, and polished lifestyle sessions. If you’re craving natural scenery without leaving the city, West Nashville parks offer gorgeous greenery, open fields, tree-lined paths, and soft golden-hour light that feels relaxed, classic, and versatile. Lucky Ladd Farms is one of my favorites in the spring and summer as they offer tulips, as well as sunflowers. This location requires an additional fee for photography as well as an entry fee.

Radnor Lake is another stunning option for clients who love more organic, nature-forward imagery with wooded trails, peaceful water views, and earthy textures that create incredibly beautiful storytelling photographs. For clients wanting something especially elevated and romantic, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is absolutely breathtaking with formal gardens, seasonal blooms, manicured grounds, and elegant stone architecture, though professional sessions there do require an additional photography permit fee. The Nashville Zoo can also be such a fun and unique option, especially for playful family sessions or little ones who do best when they can move, explore, and just be themselves, though professional photography there also comes with an additional location fee.

Whether you’re envisioning urban sophistication, dreamy nature storytelling, romantic gardens, or something playful and unique, Nashville offers an incredible range of photography locations to fit your vision.
